So what about doing Christian yoga? We can’t just insert God in there to protect ourselves. It weakens our prayer game and relationship with God.
I was a true Yogi and followed the ‘Yamas and Niyamas’ or spiritual commandments and moral compass of this 8 Limbed path.
The 8 Limbs of Yoga:
1) YAMA – Restraints, moral disciplines, or moral vows.
2) NIYAMA – Positive duties or observances.
3) ASANA – Posture.
4) PRANAYAMA – Breathing Techniques.
5) PRATYAHARA – Sense withdrawal.
6) DHARANA – Focused Concentration.
7) DHYANA – Meditative Absorption.
8) SAMADHI – Bliss or Enlightenment.
The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. As per Yogic scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature.
Patanjali is the man credited with compiling, systematizing, and putting into written form the yoga philosophy now known as classical yoga. His Yoga Sutra, an ancient text that is widely referred to in yoga classes today, clearly presents a moral code for yogis to follow and outlines the path toward a mystical state of enlightenment known as samadhi, or union with the Divine. The yoga tradition also recognizes the path of bhakti yoga, the branch of yoga whose adherents devote themselves to a personal form of God. Its practices include chanting to deities, setting up altars, and even praying.
In yoga, we’re giving ourselves to Brahman or Ataman. In Yoga Teacher training, practitioners study the book “Yoga: Light on Life” or what many refer to as “The Yoga Bible”. The teachings hook us because of the life skills, health, and many benefits of the technology. The feeling that it provides when we’re doing the Yogic practice, it shows up as a spiritual practice. It is. The bliss experienced within leads to Samadhi, or enlightenment and connecting to the divine in you. The practice is that; a practice, and whether you want it to happen or not, practicing leads to it becoming a spiritual practice because we are unconsciously yoking to that yogic god inside us and the deities of that practice and discipline.
Krishnamacharya, often called the father of modern yoga, said that when you gain discriminative awareness, you have Self-realization, which is equivalent to God-realization. And so, for him, the goal of yoga was merging with God. (Source – Yoga Journal)
Opening up to the “universal consciousness” is an invitation for all spirits and energies “in the entire universe” to enter our portal. Our pure empty vessel. When our vessel is empty, we must control those gates and protect our portals with the full armor of God; that’s the word of God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Esoteric practices allow the entry of unclean spirits, familiar spirits and demons, who work with Satan and operate throughout the earth, our world, and the ether.
Reincarnation and karma don’t co-exist with the rapture in the Bible. There are no past lives or karma, so it’s completely the opposite. There are ‘generational blessings and curses’. Reaping and sowing is confusingly similar to Karma. Believing in Karma puts us in the position of always playing catch up to make up for our transgressions or actions of our past lives. Our actions of Karma have us believe that we may come back and be Reincarnated as a rock or creepy crawler or an animal. If we stole 1000 times in our lifetime then we would have to experience 1000 actions of theft against us in order to clear that Karmic action. Say what? Jesus died on the cross to obliterate sin and free us from this bondage. Karma, Reincarnation and Past Lives do no apply to Christian believers. Reincarnation instills the mentality of, “Why repent or stop doing it? I’ll just make up for my sins in the next life.” The deception nullifies the Resurrection and GODs Revelation plan. The redemption of Jesus Christ and receiving our Salvation. I made up my own version of God. Obliterated the first commandment. Believing in reincarnation and reinforcing that type of belief negates the actual sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the Cross through conquering sin and purchasing us and our salvation. Reincarnation leads us to believe that we have all of these other lives that we will live or have lived, so why would we worry about sin? Reincarnation leads us to believe that we can just live our best life now and make it up in one of our future lives. It is not tethering to God, so when you need God, He’s not right there in front of us like we think. He is not proud of our works; He’s likely ready to slap us upside the head with His Truth! In His loving way, of course, with His sword, coming to us like a thief in the night. That’s how He awakened me. Reincarnation was a belief that I held onto and believed was true. Past Life Regression specialists use the ‘child prodigy’ as proof. They use the example of “the 2 year old child that can play Mozart’” or has an unusual talent or skill set. That showed up as enough proof for me until I read the Bible and saw how GOD blesses generations and curses generations. The unusual talents of the child prodigy or even a family with generational wealth are both examples of a ‘generational blessing’. A ‘generational curse’ would be something like, “heart disease runs in your family” or “alcoholism runs in your family.” Thank you Jesus for the wake-up call, and for showing me this deception.
Meditation in Yoga
After reading the Bible, I realized that Meditation, the word, is exactly the same word in Yoga/Zen/Martial Arts, so we think Kundalini Meditation is approved by GOD, and it’s good to meditate, right? Not quite. The Bible tells us to guard our vessel with our life because it’s under attack. Meditation in the Bible is flooding and filling the mind with GOD, the word of God, and his thoughts. God tells us to use “the Full Armor of God”. Emptying our minds and body vessels leaves these empty containers vulnerable for a spiritual attack, so we’re unknowingly putting ourselves at risk, and not under the protection of God because we’re not activating God’s technologies. Most New Age disciplines teach meditation as “emptying the mind and vessel, but The Bible tells us to guard our vessels and keep the word of God on the mind at all times. Meditation is not walking around with “no mind or thought” but instead it is occupying the mind with the word of God at all times for protection. Again the collective consciousness of the universe is good and evil, and mindlessly plugging into it and thinking, “I’m protected by God” is not recommended. Biblical Meditation = Prayer.
In Yogic Meditation, it feels spiritual, and you think you are praying to God or becoming a pure vessel so the God Spirit can flood into us (purity, love), but it’s actually other energies not of God that are flooding the open vessel or empty container of the body and mind. Using a mantra, connecting to universal consciousness, and emptying the mind are all leaving us vulnerable to attack or entry of unGodly spirits. We invite anxiety, fear, stress, and doubt and are relying on ourselves and a false power to feel that spiritual feeling. We are not protected and have unknowingly entered into the middle of the Spirit realm and the warfare taking place within. Using Technologies that are rooted in other people’s religions and gods activate that godhead, and we cannot just use our intention to cut the cords or threads. We already willingly gave permission to enter that portal and can only undo this by cutting the ties and strongholds, repenting and rebuking those spirits or tech, asking God for our forgiveness, and Praying only to Father God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. I am no longer operating as a Zenmaster with no mind, in the present moment but instead consciously filling my vessel with the Spirit of GOD. Flooding it. Now in my Daily life, my version of “Meditation in Motion” or “moving Meditation is keeping GOD in the forefront of my mind, thoughts, body, actions, words, and spirit at all times. I aim to embody the characteristics and energy that Jesus had and make the decisions he would make. Communicate and show up in my daily life as he did. WWJD, What would Jesus do. Keeping God’s word and The Holy Spirit in my consciousness at all times. Not mindless but mindful!
Again, the true yoga practice is disguised as spiritual. It feels that way: you see physical results, and you’re able to work with the energy that’s in front of you, and it’s disguised as spiritual. It feels like we’re connecting with God, but it’s very likely that it’s not. In my own experience, when I needed God and was trying to pray, I realized, “oh, I am all the way over here with all these other gods and technology, and I don’t even know my God or what he wants from me or what his thoughts are or what he’s been through”.
In Yoga class, we use greetings of “Namaste”, which means the divine in the honors and illuminates the divine in you. Usually, this is preceded by a head bow or a nod. We shouldn’t be bowing to a Pope, King or any man, only GOD. Again, man is flawed, tainted with sin and not to be worshiped. We practice Sun Salutations where we salute and bow to the sun god, and much of the physical practice is to eventually let go and tap into that power inside of you or awaken the Kundalini Spirit; the serpent coil that, when awakened, rises from the perineum and travels the spine to the Crown Chakra. Opening the crown chakra to flood our vessel with light. Becoming a pure vessel, unencumbered by thought or impingements of the physical body. A clear, pure vessel. Each Asana or pose in Yoga is cloaked to one of the Hindu gods or deities, so just doing the poses for exercise does not prohibit this from activating that deity. Intention cannot control this from happening and this is why Christians should not be practicing Yoga.
New Age Deception:
Much of the language and teaching in the New Age leaves out any reference to GOD and instead replaces it with, “We are gods” or “Creator” or “Source” or “Christ Consciousness” or the “I Am”. We are not gods. The language is confusingly similar and not specific or precise like GOD’s words. Many steps are similar but void of attention to God or putting him first. They may mention “God”, but it’s not the Christian GOD of The Bible.
New Age preaches Self Belief, and The Bible says to put or Trust and Faith in GOD. Believe in GOD, not man or the world or science. New Age tells us that we can manifest our dreams and goals and to speak them out. The “power of intention”, similar to what is taught in the book The Secret. Yes, there is power in our words as we see over and over in the Bible that God Speaks, and Creates, and destroys. His word is our sword. His words have the power to create, not ours. If we speak words to manifest and it is not in accordance with what God Loves or hates, then it is a lie and from the other side. We may be able to manifest with these other tools or methods, but if it’s not rooted and grounded to GOD and something he approves of, his ways, then we are creating a divide between ourselves and GOD. Then, when we pray and actually need him, we shouldn’t expect him to be there. GOD can’t be played for a fool. We should not be trying to pray for things and outcomes that are unGodly and think that he will deliver them to us just because we asked. Love what GOD loves and Hate what GOD hates.
